This knife handle was handcrafted using pine cone and a cream colored epoxy resin. Designed with a lanyard hole for a leather strap to make for easy retrieval from sheath. The handle measures approx. 2.75 inches in length and supports a full tang, 440c stainless steel blade. The blade measures 2.5 inches in length.
440c offers excellent wear resistance along with high corrosion resistance and will give you a mirror polish finish. 440c makes a good blade for wet environments and most suitable for the smaller of jobs. Sharpening 440c isn’t the easiest of steels to sharpen, but once it is, it will retain the sharp edge for a very long time. 440c Stainless steel has a Rockwell hardness of 57-60 HRC.
